Gretler Fellows

The Gretler Fellows Program invites undergraduate students to collaborate with faculty on research projects throughout the academic year. Fellows are paired with faculty members, serving as research assistants for approximately five hours per week during the Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters. This program offers students an opportunity to apply their academic training to real-world research while receiving valuable mentorship.

To participate, students must apply during the first week of the Fall quarter, selecting from a list of research projects posted by faculty. The department matches students with faculty members, and selected fellows receive a stipend of $1,800, distributed over the three quarters. Each year, the program funds approximately 10 fellows.

Since its inception, the Gretler Fellows Program, made possible by the generosity of the Gretler Foundation, has supported nearly 100 fellows. For an example of the impactful work completed by Gretler Fellows, visit this link.
