Professor Shelly Lundberg Named Distinguished Fellow of the American Economic Association
The American Economic Association honors Professor Shelly Lundberg as a Distinguished Fellow.
Professor Shelly Lundberg was named by the American Economic Association (AEA) as the Distinguished Fellow of 2020.
The title punctuates a long history of impressive academic achievements for Professor Lundberg. Lundberg has served as the President of the European Society for Population Economics, the President of the Society of Labor Economists, and the Chair of the AEA Committee on the Status of Women in the Economics. She obtained her PhD in from Northwestern University and currently serves as the Associate Director for UCSB's Broom Center for Demography.
Since 2004, Lundberg has also served as a Research Fellow at the Institute of Labor Economics, and her research has made critical contributions to Family/Household Economics. Her work in resource allocation and decision-making has changed the understanding of a family household within the realm of Economics.
