Professor Shelly Lundberg Elected as Vice President of American Economic Association
Professor Shelly Lundberg will serve as Vice President of the American Economic Association.
Professor Shelly Lundberg was nominated by the American Economics Association (AEA) to serve as the organization's 2021 Vice President.
The title adds to Professor Lundberg's long list of accomplishments as an Economist. After obtaining her PhD in Economics at Northwestern University, Lundberg has held faculty appointments at the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Washington, and UC Santa Barbara. She has also served on the AEA's Committee on the Status of Women in the Economics Profession, and has been named as one of the organization's Distinguished Fellows.
"I am honored to be nominated as a candidate for AEA VP," said Lundberg, who plans on improving the organization's diversity and inclusionary practices during her appointment.
