Biography

Lisa A. Gennetian is a Pritzker Professor of Early Learning Policy Studies at the Stanford School of Public Policy at Duke University. She obtained her PhD in Economics from Cornell University. Prior to her appointment at Duke, she held a position at New York University as a Research Professor. Her research interests focus on a variety of areas concerning child poverty from income security and stability to early care and education with a particular lens toward identifying causal mechanisms underlying how child poverty shapes children’s development.
