Biography
Alec McQuilkin is a PhD student in Economics. He graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a BA in Applied Mathematics, and from the University of Colorado, Denver with a dual MS and MA in Applied Mathematics and Economics. His research interests include Health, Education, Urban Economics, and Applied Econometrics.
McQuilkin's current work examines the spatial mismatch between the residential location of the urban poor and areas of high employment growth. He investigates the potential for large public transportation capital projects to alleviate the lack of mobility and improve employment outcomes among this population.
