Sarah Papich received her BA from the University of Colorado Boulder and is currently in her third year of the PhD program in Economics at the University of California Santa Barbara. Her research focuses on public and labor economics. Her second year paper examines the effects of a new form of public financing for political campaigns on crowding out and the distribution of campaign donations. She is currently studying the effects of recreational marijuana legalization on fertility, as well as determinants of female and total labor force participation across countries in a paper with Finn Kydland, Nick Pretnar and Travis Cyronek.
