Biography
Matthew is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Economics at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Before coming to UCSB, Matthew received a BA in Economics from the University of California, Riverside. Matthew’s research focuses on labor and housing economics. His current work uses applied econometric methods to examine the impact of unemployment insurance on personal financial health, how assistance from public programs influences household composition and doubling up, and the incidence of property taxes in rental markets.
