English Language Placement Exam (ELPE) | Fall 2020

Event Details

The English Language Placement Exam is required for all incoming international undergraduate and graduate students whose first language is other than English.

Some international graduate students are exempt from this exam if the student has completed their entire undergraduate degree at an approved English medium sintitution. Exemptions are determined by the Graduate Division and are made available to the EMS program by mid-July. 

In the Fall of 2020, the EMS Program will be administering an online placement process for incoming international students. The online process will begin in August 2020. For more information, please visit the English for Multilingual Students website.
