Marla Ripoll, University of Pittsburg

Biography

Marla Ripoll is a Professor of Economics at the University of Pittsburg. She also serves as Core Faculty for the university's Center of Latin American Studies and Global Studies program, and holds a concurrent appointment at the Journal of Macroeconomics as an Associate Editor. Her research lies at the intersection of Macroeconomics and development, including topics like social mobility, school, fertility, and the economic value of life. Ripoll completed her undergraduate studies from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and obtained her PhD from the University of Rochester.
