Economics Leadership Council

The Economics Leadership Council will be the cornerstone of the Department of Economics’ alumni engagement efforts and will provide our most trusted partners an opportunity to play an instrumental role in our shared future. This new philanthropic group brings together high-level supporters who share a lasting affinity for economics education at UC Santa Barbara and are committed to expanding its programming, student support, and impact.

Core Principles of the Economics Leadership Council:
• Grow Philanthropy – build upon our existing culture of philanthropy to create lasting stories of
impact
• Strengthen Alumni Network – foster close personal and professional ties between prominent
alumni, friends, corporate partners, and current students for a true Gaucho community
• Career Mentorship – connect alumni at various stages of their careers with one another and
