Graduation Snapshot

The below information was taken from a voluntary survey distributed by the Department of Economics to all graduating seniors majoring in Economics or Economics & Accounting. These are usually distributed in June and students receive incentives to complete the survey.



​2017

73% of UCSB Economics and Economics & Accounting majors reported either full-time employment or pursuance of ​an advanced degree after graduation.

50% received full-time job offers upon graduating.

Students were hired in Accounting, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Technology, and Marketing.

23% are pursuing an advanced degree.

Students​ pursued Law School, PhD in Economics, Masters in Business, Data Science, Mathematics, Environmental Science, or Finance.

64% received full-time job offers upon graduating.

Students were hired in Accounting, Data Analytics, Education, Financial Services, Marketing, and Sales.

22% are pursuing an advanced degree.

Students​ pursued Law School, Masters in Accountancy, Economics, or Finance.
