Job & Internship Postings

The Economics department’s Career Connection can help your company advertise their internships or full-time openings to a targeted audience of Economics and Economics & Accounting majors. We're also glad to promote any events that might appeal to our students.

If you would like us to post a job or event announcement to the Economics Career Connection blog, please send an email of your posting to Career Connection at

If you would like to reach all UCSB students you can have your job posted through UCSB's Handshake system.  Over 13,000 students are enrolled in this system and it is a great way to get your job/internship posted to a large group of students. Information on posting a job on Handshake can be found here

Meet the Firms

Meet the Firms (MTF) is a career fair-style, networking and recruiting event that connects students with professionals and recruiters in the accounting profession. We host representatives from the Big Four, mid-size and regional firms. MTF brings approximately 600 students and over 35 firms under one roof. Firms in attendance are generally seeking to fill internship and full-time positions for third and fourth-year students, though all students are welcome to attend.

Meet the Firms 2018 will be scheduled soon.

For more information scroll to the bottom of the Undergraduate Accounting Society's calendar page, or contact the Career Connection Office.

Engagement Opportunities

There are many ways that businesses and employers can get involved with Career Connection that don't necessarily mean supplying internships or jobs. Students often are looking to speak with someone in their field to learn more about their opportunities and day-to-day work life, so consider offering your time for an informational interview over coffee. Or perhaps you've done a lot of recruiting in your position and would feel comfortable doing a mock interview; these types of professional interactions and critiques are extremely valuable to students. Career Connection also puts on a series of seminars and events to help students gain valuable professional experiences, and we're always looking for additional support in those areas.
