Christopher Guo

Chris is a Ph.D. Candidate in Environmental Economics, Applied Microeconomics, and Experimental Economics. At UCSB he received 2 separate National Science Foundation IGERT Fellowships:  Economics and Environmental Science (EES) and Conversion of Energy through Molecular Platforms (ConvEne). Before graduate school, he attended Harvard College and worked at Banc of America Securities in New York. HIs job market paper on R&D portfolio optimization in the energy industry builds upon research from industrial organization, finance, technological change, Bayesian data analysis, and statistical decision theory.  His interests also include ecology of managed ecosystems, adaptation, anything computer-related, surfing, and Chris Farley movies.
