About the extra credit project...

 

This project is intended less to improve your grades than it is to provide an outlet for creative thinking.

 

As is often the case in large college classes, most of the time I am simply throwing information at you and then quizzing you on it. This project is intended for those who feel they have something important to say in return.

 

Submission of a project does not in itself guarantee any grade increase whatsoever. In some cases grade increases may occur, based on the extent to which the submission contains original and interesting ideas. Of course, submitting a project cannot decrease your grade.

 

The content of your project should not come from an external source (book, article, etc.); it should be the product of your own individual thought. It should be relevant to economic theory and / or economic policy.

 

You may, for example, present an alternative perspective on one of the topics that we've covered. You may propose a line of original research. You may propose an alternative economic policy, and support it with an economic argument.
