"I am an applied theorist with interests in a variety of topics in economics. The problems I work on are often inspired by applications in environmental economics (especially climate change), and the management of long-run social risks. I also have research interests in political and behavioural economics. The overarching question my research often relates to is: how can we make "good" long-run decisions, and what prevents us from making them? My work on this and other topics is influenced by scholarship in other disciplines, including philosophy, psychology, and the physical sciences."
