Professor Dick Startz gave a keynote address on the question of the next hundred years of world income growth at the Chinese Economists Society in Nanjing, China. The best prediction is that GDP per capita will grow at an average of 2.7% per year, and that much of that growth will be due to poor and middle-income countries gradually catching up with the wealthy nations of the world.
