Making Better Use of Data on Free School Lunches

The Brown Center of the Brookings Institution recently published a post by Professor Dick Startz on the use of free and reduced price lunches in public schools to identify low income students. The work was inspired by a Spring research seminar given in the Department by Michigan professor Susan Dynarksi and the data work was done by UCSB undergraduate economics major Garrison Schlauch.
