Economics majors are successful in a variety of careers. Although various roles in businesses are most common, economics majors often pursue careers and/or degrees in law, medicine, government, non-profits, and international relations, as well as in academic roles. As the largest major within the College of Letters and Science, our department graduates approximately 600 students each year. These students have varied interests and start their careers in numerous fields. We have created a snapshot that shows what careers/companies our most recent graduates have chosen.
The UCSB Career Services office has created numerous worksheets and handouts that can assist you with all of the stages of your career planning.
